You need a computer that is running Linux, MacOS, or Windows 11+. ChromeOS, and Windows 10 will not work. ChromeOS will not be able to install anything other than Chrome plugins which will not work for you. Microsoft no longer supports Windows 10, and this makes you vulnerable with zero day attacks which is not good for you.
If you have a ChromeOS PC, you likely don’t have the storage capacity of installing a capable Linux OS?. If you have Windows 10, you can install Linux assuming you are comfortable with installing a new OS to your computer. You will lose everything on your storage drive, so backup your important personal files.
